For awnings and pup tents, we insist on breathable ground sheets to protect our grass please for the season.
For tents, breathable ground sheets are required for the living area of the tent, or where they are an integral part of the tent. Other ground sheets are accepted for the sleeping area.

Being very keen walkers ourselves, we really enjoy having both walkers and cyclists stay with us as part of their, usually epic journey!
The Meadows Campsite is a member of the SWCP Association, and we also give discounted pitch fees, and a very warm welcome.
We are good for an exit from the SWCP at either Pentewan, or Mevagissey as we are right on the Pentewan Valley Trail which links up to the Coast Path. We are just a mile from Pentewan Village with a lovely flat walk up the river to finish off your day. The walk from Mevagissey is a little longer, and does involve a hill, but you will skirt by the edge of Heligan Gardens, so a nice off the road walk.
Advance booking – is not required, and you can just turn up, but please arrive before 8pm.

The Meadows (adult only campsite) is situate on the Pentewan Valley Trail. The Trail links up to the SWCP both in the Village of Pentewan, and also in Mevagissey as the trail goes in both directions. The trail is off the road, and so makes a lovely start/ finish, to a day of walking the Coast Path.

At the present time we don’t have this facility. However, we do have a freezer and we freeze ice packs. There are usually spares available to borrow.

For electric hook up bookings, pitches are allocated at the point of booking. Should you have any special requirements, or pitch preference then please let us know when making a booking request. As everyone has their own idea as to an ideal camping spot, then for a general feel of the campsite please read independent reviews. These can be found on Cool Camping, Trip Advisor and UK Campsites.
For “proper camping” (none electric) campers (tents) choose their own spot on arrival from within our camping areas. We have two grass camping wings, secluded pitches in our wildflower meadow. We also have a further grassed area (fore meadow) at the front of the wildflower meadow, where you can pitch next to your car.
We have 3 “proper camping” campervan/caravan pitches on our fore meadow area. These are hardstanding grass pitches looking over the meadow area, also good for land rover tents, and trailer tents.

Whilst we do not wish to appear mean, we do not have any open plug sockets on the campsite for this facility. There is a salon style hairdryer in the shower block which is free to use.
We see all sorts of gadgets that our campers bring now, including power packs, and chargeable straighteners and so please think about this in advance.

As we run the site as a couple, and without overflow parking facilities, please help the smooth running of the changeovers by observing these times. We only have an hour between departures and arrivals to “get ourselves ready for inspection”!
